While some never walked off the plane again
Some still missing, yet to return home
Still in Vietnam, they are never alone
Those that did return did not get the thanks
That they deserved when they stepped off the plane
They fought for their flag, the red, white, and blue
But were despised by many, it’s sad but true
It’s not too late to right a wrong
Vietnam vets have waited too long
To get the appreciation they much deserve
For doing their duty while they served
So, thank a vet, and visit the wall
